Diagnosis:
Coiled pulmonary arterial-venous malformation in patient with Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HTT).
Clinical Presentation:
Mrs X was a 65 year old female who presented to us with increasing shortness of breath. On examination she was found to be dyspnoeic with oxygen saturations of 85-89%. There was no history of cough, fever, sputum production or chest pain. No past medical history of respiratory disease. Her past medical history of note was a diagnosis of ‘Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia’. CT chest showed multiple pulmonary AVMs throughout the lung fields; two of which were treated with transcatheter embolization with coiling. Patient’s symptoms improved remarkably with coiling but multiple small AVMs which were too small for coiling (<3mm) remain.

Chest x-ray shows 2 embolization coils in the left lung.
